<p>The article presents for the first time a comparative analysis of modern experience in designing functional planning and urban planning solutions of neuropsychiatric centers in Europe, Asia and the USA. The relevance of the topic is due to the active growth in the number of patients with mental and neurological disabilities, as well as the development of medical, architectural and construction technologies. The purpose of the study was to analyze the functional planning and urban planning solutions of international neuropsychiatric centers to identify current trends and patterns. The results obtained are expected to be used in the future to develop recommendations for the design of modern neuropsychiatric centers. The study examined the functional planning and urban planning solutions of 48 neuropsychiatric institutions, and conducted a graphoanalytic comparative analysis of 12 of them. The analysis showed that international design practices vary depending on the geographical context and national characteristics of healthcare, but there are also a number of common patterns. Medical institutions were classified into 5 main categories depending on their functional content: a scientific research complex (Institute of Brain and Neurology); a multifunctional neuropsychiatric center; a specialized neuropsychiatric center; a neuropsychiatric center for the stabilization of severe conditions; and an outpatient neuropsychiatric rehabilitation center. Two main trends in the design of this type of medical facility have been identified. Firstly, the urban planning location relative to the city center is focused on facilitating transport accessibility, taking into account the priority function of the center, where the central location is preferable for outpatient care, and the remote location is for inpatient treatment and rehabilitation. Secondly, when designing, priority is often given not to the multifunctionality of a neuropsychiatric center, but to focusing on its key functional blocks corresponding to the type of institution. From the results obtained, a conclusion was drawn about the relationship between the typology of the center, its capacity and urban planning location.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>психоневрологический центр</kwd><kwd>функционально-планировочная структура</kwd><kwd>градостроительные решения</kwd><kwd>типология психоневрологических центров</kwd><kwd>тенденции развития психоневрологических центров</kwd><kwd>архитектурное проектирование</kwd><kwd>медицинские центры</kwd><kwd>классификация психоневрологических центров</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>neuropsychiatric center</kwd><kwd>functional planning structure</kwd><kwd>urban planning solutions</kwd><kwd>typology of neuropsychiatric centers</kwd><kwd>trends in the development of neuropsychiatric centers</kwd><kwd>architectural design</kwd><kwd>medical centers</kwd><kwd>classification of neuropsychiatric centers</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Федеральная служба государственной статистики (Росстат) Здравоохранение в России 2023: статистический сборник. — М., 2023. — 179 с.</mixed-citation></ref><ref id="ref2"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Душкина И. Е.
